ABOUT US

After much consideration we, Heather and Jonathan Rose, have decided to retire so will not be re-opening Kell House Bed & Breakfast in the Spring 2026.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who stayed with us over the last 5 years.  It was  great to meet you all and share the beautiful Kell House with you.

After running a successful gastro pub in the Vale of York, we decided to relocate to the Yorkshire Dales to pursue our love for walking with our springer spaniel, Moss.  The market town of Pateley Bridge was always a favourite place to visit and this is where we discovered the beautiful Kell House.  After spending 18 months lovingly restoring Kell House were then ready to welcome guests to our bed and breakfast.

Our bedrooms are large and comfortable with views of the Dale and we use only natural products whenever we can including soft cotton bedding.  We are passionate about using locally sourced ingredients where possible and support local businesses in Pateley Bridge, including the butchers, bakers and greengrocers when producing our delicious Yorkshire breakfasts.

Our location is ideal for discovering the famous Pateley Bridge, with its specialist food shops, cafes, local craft workshops and so much more.  It is also an ideal centre for walks such as the Nidderdale Way, the 6 Dales Way, cycling routes including the Way of the Roses and exploring many famous local attractions  e such as Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, or the delights of the Spa town of Harrogate.

We would love recommend our favourite walks and places to visit and to eat in the area so please do ask us.  We look forward to welcoming you to Kell House and the Yorkshire Dales.
